Toyota has been planning a convertible version of the FT-86 for a while.
And it should end up here as the Scion FR-S Convertible soon.
A new convertible is always good news. At least where I live.
It's just too bad the FR-S/FT-86 has one of the worst new interior design in years.
The concept's white trim can't hide the fact that it still looks like "Toyota 1985" in there...

This looks great almost production ready.
It will be a winner!
Look out Miata and S2000 owners!
It's look so cute. The design and decoration is really great.
What an ugly car...inside and out!
Everybody now makes a convertable with a uselessly tiny back seat (or no back seat). Do we really need ANOTHER??? Give me a hardtop convertable that seats two 6'4" 250lbs Americans in the BACK seat and I'll pay in full up front RIGHT NOW!!! (The '63-'68 Lincoln and '75-'76 Eldorado convertables don't have all todays safety features; plus it's really hard to find one!)
I sell nissans. I love nissans. Toyota has had many quality setbacks in the past 5 years. However, this is gorgeous.
