The profile of the second car from the rear seems more similar to the Nissan Invitation show car than the 5-door Tiida currently sold in non-US markets. This may explain the lack of a new 5-door Versa in the U.S. market: Nissan waited for the production version of the Invitation to be ready.
From what I have seen on the net and from what I read, there are a lot of exciting things coming our way from Nissan. That's very impressive to say the least. You can't be a car fan and not be excited to see what's on the way from Nissan, the same people that have brought us a history full of exciting cars.
to think we almost lost nissan during a credit fiasco (ie saab). thanks renault for picking up the pieces, and repairing putting in place sound accounting.
haha most of the above comments are from a nissan rep. This new Altima design is extremely ugly.. I thought the Maxima was bad but this is even worse!
I haven't seen a single line on any of these teaser shots that's original, exciting, cutting-edge or fashionable. So far all Im seeing is a me-too grille design on a conventional CamryAccordSonata. Nissan needs a much more pronounced statement.
I'm not so sure that middle vehicle is a new Rogue.. my guess is that it's the new X-Trail based on the height and narrowness.
SO OBVIOUS... Would anyone actually believe this didn't come from someone representing Nissan?**************From what I have seen on the net and from what I read, there are a lot of exciting things coming our way from Nissan. Renault...thanks? They may have saved Nissan financially... But killed its great automobiles. Nissan is not half as great or exciting as it used to be before Ghosn and Renault got involved. I owned nothing but Nissans for 27 years. 2002 was the end for me. I still have secret hope they will build something that has near the quality and excitement they once had... So I too am looking forward and am excited to these newer models. Fingers are crossed....but not holding my breath.
More cheap overpriced infantile design crap from Nissan....The new Versa is a pathetic joke even at the low price.
I thought the Hyundai Sonata's mega-grille was ugly but it looks like the new Altima will have an even bigger front grille! It looks like Nissan has a generation or two of bad styling ahead of it. Kind of like Honda. The next decade belongs to Hyundai/Kia, GM, and Ford.
Putting aside moronic pro-Nissan or against comments, this half view of the grille is a promissing improvement. The current model, whether grille or profile, is uninspiring.
Already the grille looks out of proportion and malformed. I hope Nissan keeps the sheet on this ugly thing. They couldn't design an attractive paper bag even if they tried
Nissan salespeople in this comment thread. LOOK OUT!@ March 26, 2012 9:17 PMNo, he isn't fooling anyone. He is the same guy who feeds people lines of BS about owning multiple Sentras for a flower delivery business. No one buys Sentras, let alone to deliver flowers.
