It's hilarious that in this and the prior illustration the C-pilar window is a Filet O' Black-Plastic and not a proper window.

It's aslo sad to say that when it comes to styling this has nothing on the Hyundai Elantra. Nobody but a fanboy will look at this design and think it is attractive.

The Shooting Brake is the better concept in my opinion. This is not very attractive. And I like hatch backs.

YES! BRING IT!!! And please bring the 1 series hatch to the US too!!!

Looks like copying the Mazda 3 doesn't even work (although this is the best illustration I've seen yet!).

What's the difference between this and a wagon?

If it weren't for the twin kidney grilles, it could be a Hyundai. Is that a compliment to Hyundai or an insult to BMW?

imho, this illustration is a lot closer to what'll be built...
...TOO BAD,
the previous one was better
( because it looked less like a BungledMW )

And in that future they all drove hunchbacks (hatchbacks?) and all looked the same; and thought identical thoughts and drove identical hatchbacks... And in the end; there were no Hemi's, no Ferrerri's, no rolling works of art. just melancholy sameness. And everyone was equal. and bored. and in a coma. And the Camry Hatchback was brought forth and multipled; and Saten saw that it was good-- and called it Venza. And the globe grew cold with stale conformity. And the automotive stylists evaporated. And the world was tasteless. And generic people were embeded into the fabrics of those blan generic hybrid hatchbacks. THE END.

First of all, I'm just gonna say it... I love hatchbacks! The more the better. And I dont really mind this one and am glad to see them entering back into the compact market. I actually prefer it to the comical Mazda 3 that's available now, but it does remind me somewhat of a Subaru Impreza 5Dr GT. BTW - that's not a bad thing IMHO.
