The Camry based Lexus is due for a small revision for the 2010 model year. Just like it's Camry cousin.
From this picture, it just looks like the usual, new bumper, revised grille and new headlights.
Nothing earth shattering....
Lexus has mentioned before the current generation ES will be the last one based on the Camry.
I wonder what they will replace it with. Or even IF they will replace it.
The IS an the upcoming small Hybrid might just be enough models under $35 000 for one brand.

It's the only Lexus that sells...I bet they won't even change it to proper RWD.
Well if they are on to a good thing, it is probably the best idea to stick with it.
It is the last of the "glorified" toyotas....but it still sells...I can't see the HS replacing this. It's funny how the original camry clone still sells well
There is no way toyota would scrap the ES; it is too profitable. However, moving it to a new platform might be a good move as it would further distinguish it from the high-spec Camrys. The 2010 ES doesn't look bad, although I'm not sure what the current obsession with odd-shaped headlights (across much of the industry) is about.
No Lexus. this is "NEW MARK-X" in JAPAN. JDM.

It seems to exist only for price and maybe simplicity concerns. I figured it otherwise rendered obsolete by the IS and GS long ago.

i hope toyota pays the price soon for poor quality, poor design and terrible dealers with cocky attitudes, oh wait......they just posted their first loss since ww2.....it's been a long time coming!

Maybe the major recession has something to do with that. Honda is predicting a loss as well.
All the big companies are feeling it.
Even sony corporation is running at a loss.
GM and Chrysler have been runnig at a loss for years, even before the recession was heard of, whats that saying...Their downfall was a long time coming more like.
sony and toyota were BOTH publicly scolded by the Japanese Government for poor quality. That's not made up, that's 100% true. That's why they deserve what they get. They are just better at hiding it and at marketing than GM is, otherwise , there is very little, if any difference at all. Heck, they build cars together already, they are great bed mates.
