It looks like a Lincoln Town Car with an attitude. However, still a bit far from attractive. The interior is rather classy, though. I say take the Azerra and make it "sporty".
I see 2 attempts to mock Mercedes:1. Power seat levers on door by handle.2. Side mirror-integrated indicator.Too bad it still looks like "Marvin the Martian"!
Its not long enough. Add One and a half feet please.
Alot of people say this car is ugly. But if you goto edmonds forums on the Amanti all you here is talk about how beautiful this car is. I guess its all in the eye of the beholder.
Did somebody pee on the seats?
I like this car, it has the looks of luxury with half the price. I like how the front blinker lights are on the bumper, the first time I saw one it made me think twice to figure out the kind of car it was. Looks good to me. But I still wouldn't drive it though.
despite the looks, they sell .
Ok, first of all lots of vehicles have the power seat levers on the door nowa days, secondly TONS of cars have turn signals integrated onto the mirrors so you really have no argument. And Vince, why the hell would you wish that the sunroof was open if it was raining? You're an idiot
still ugly as hell, i would never buy one

You're an idiot................................You are the idiot. Mercedes was the first and foremost automaker to place the powerseat controls on the door and put the indicators in the side mirrors. I didn't say that they were the ONLY ones doing it.If you were more analytical, you would notice the water on the leather passenger seat which Vince was refering to.So b4 you bash comments, do pay attention to details, moron!
To the poster two above this one (11:30AM)...He was being funny, hoping noone had peed in the seats. Chill out a little with the name calling.
If this car were a Honda, Toyota, Ford or GM vehicle, people would be crying bloody murder over the visual torture this thing causes. This is one seriously amateur-hour car. The exterior is an exercise in third-world design skills. There is no design to the interior; just a hodge-podge of components. Let’s get real people.
It's a conservative, upright sedan with styling cues from Jaguar, Lincoln, Mercedes and Buick Park Avenue. This appeals to many who don't have the budget for one of these named makes. Everyday thousands of knock-off Rolex watches and Prada bags are sold for the same reason- the "look" for less. Those here gnashing their teeth over it probably should consider that the next suit they buy from the Men's Warehouse should not look AT ALL like the one from Barney's, right?

"------------------In response to the above ^At least in this country, maybe not Korea, knock-off Rolexes, Prada bags and Tiffany jewelry is illegal. The availablity of these fake items cheapen the design of the real stuff. So while the "styling cues" are from hi-end vehicles, this car is significantly rough around the edges. Besides, with this vehicle, everyone knows that you're applying a lot of effort toward being a wannabe. People who purchase and wear knockoff merchandise look completely silly and don't fool anyone who knows the real thing.
This car is not a "knockoff" of anything. It just takes cues from a lot of other makes which is not the same as a cheap -and illegal imitation. It has a real "KIA" badge and not an imitiation "Mercedes" star. The above poster's point is taken, however in real life everything around us tries in some fashion to look like an upscale version...homes, clothing, jewelry. I don't think this practice so much "cheapens" the expensive brands as much as it makes the high-end designers come up with new and fresh ideas to distance themselves. "Wannabe's" exist is all strata and fool few but I don't think they care as long as they feel good about their image so why should anyone else?
So hate the styling or love it...who cares? This is a solid value for those who want luxury on a budget. What snobs.
Why when I look at that do I alway think someone has died?
To the critic who wrote that the car is "an exercise in 3rd world design skills"-you've been living under a rock for the past ten years if you're not aware that the "lowly 3rd world" has been slowly surely and steadily kicking our FIRST WORLD economic ASSES!!!India and Chinas GNPs are both climbing at rates exceeding 125% ANNUALLY!! Hundayi (and I may have spelled it incorrectly!)now produces the cars with the highest customer satisfaction rating IN THE WORLD!!! What was the name of your doctor the last time you visited your HMO for a checkup? I'll bet it wasn't Smith, Jones or Wilson-more likely Patel or Wu! The worlds output of doctors, engineers and research scientists are coming from Pakistan, South Korea, India and China, while your kid is probably in cranial meltdown in his bedroom playing XBOX 360, with the verbal and reading skills of a 3rd grader at the age of 17!!! At the rate we're declining in this country, it won't be long before "THEY" are referring to US as the 3RD WORLD!
Isn't that the truth!
I do not really like luxury cars; I prefer sporty cars like the Azera or the new Optima. To me, it is such a nice name, but it just doesn't measure up to it's looks. Amanti, nice name.....Amanti
i think the car is beautiful, kia and hyundai has came a long way, honda, toyota, and nissan(datsun)cars at first everyone laugh and said they were ulgy and cheap. Look now over time the cars have become tje US best sellers.
It's really to each his own. I've just recently purchased an Amanti for $32,000. There were other vehicles for less money but - they coundn't compare in warranty and features. This is my wife's car and we have been very pleased. I can appreciate everyone's opinion but $32,000. is $32,0000 whether it's a Lincoln or a Kia. Thanks.
The Amanti is gorgeous. Kia did a great job styling this beauty. Looks better than a Jag or Mercedes appeals to people too smart to pay a ton more for a badge or hood emblem. This car rides beautifully too. The price is good the warranty is fantastic and the Amanti is the kind of car other manufacturers will one day copy and say It looks as good as an Amanti. A true winner Winner.
